Military Applications

American Defense Systems, Inc. proudly partners with various branches of the United States military providing a variety of lightweight armor solutions, both transparent and opaque, with our unending goal of protecting our men and women in uniform. We are humbled and honored that our armor has proven to be a life saver in our on-going war on terror having withstood small arms fire and IED incidents with our soldiers emerging to fight another day.

Our Crew Protection Kits (CPKs) are custom designed and fitted to offer the maximum amount of security for the operator. The CPK features windows of fully transparent armor, opaque armor siding that has been ATC Aberdeen tested and approved to meet all Operation Iraqi Freedom requirements, a patent-pending combat lock, tool-less emergency egress windows, fortified door hinges and an integrated crew comfort system.
  • Combat lock – The combat lock and door latch are designed to accommodate top-bottom and left-right orientation allowing commonality and the flexibility to be used on any vehicle of CE/MHE equipment. Durable, strong and reliable to meet the rugged demands of a war time environment, this latch has been evaluated by TACOM and successfully tested at ATC for durability, functionality and to meet Operation Iraqi Freedom ballistic threats
  • Egress Window – A uniquely designed internal or external tool-less cab emergency rescue system to allow escape from or access to aid an injured operator. This system has been both ballistic and operator tested at ATC and TACOM.
  • Door Hinges – The hinges are designed to resist damage and maintain functionality post IED event and have been proven during live OID IED and 20mm FSP threat testing conducted at ATC.
  • Crew Comfort System – Consists of an air-conditioning and heater system designed to meet or exceed mission requirements for operator comfort; the air-conditioner is designed to have common repair parts as that in most tactical wheeled vehicles.
The CPKs are modular and can be applied to the vehicle either stateside or in theater. ADSI employs Field Service Representatives (FSRs) that are on the ground in Afghanistan, Iraq and Kuwait to train our soldiers on the proper installation techniques and offer on-going expertise and assistance.
